Asociación Shamrock Nepal is a fully registered charity based in Barcelona and set up in November 2021 – registration number #70276
After very many years teaching at the prestigious Oak House School in Barcelona, and retiring in 2010, Mary Palmer chose to volunteer as a teacher at Shamrock School in Pokhara, Nepal. It was during her time there that she came to know the incredible work the school was doing.
After some years of working with the UK charity, and visiting the school every year since 2010 for two months, she decided to set up Asociación Shamrock Nepal to help sustain Shamrock School. Like its UK equivalent, Shamrock Spain is run entirely by volunteers. Mary works with a team of trustees, many of whom are from the education sector, to raise funds for and awareness of the School and its work.
All the members of the Asociación Shamrock Nepal are volunteers. With zero administration costs and without a salary paid to any partner or volunteer, ALL donations go entirely to support the cause that is carried out.

The remaining 25 students from Shamrock School returned to their home villages to continue their education without financial support from Shamrock School. Out of those 25 students, seven needed critical social and financial support. Shamrock Spanish Charity (Asociación Shamrock Nepal #70276, Barcelona, Spain) decided to support these students with the ongoing help of our kind donors so that they too have been registered at Hill Point Secondary School beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
MAKE A DONATION
We are currently fundraising to ensure these seven students continue their schooling. Any contribution you can make in support of their education would be greatly appreciated.
