My name is Jack Rubiralta Kunze. I was born in Barcelona and lived there until I was 15, then moved to a boarding school in New Hampshire, USA, where I graduated in 2025.I’m Spanish-American and speak Spanish, Catalan, and English.I’m taking a gap year before college, and from the end of August, I’ll spend four months in Pokhara, Nepal, assisting the Shamrock students and others in maths, science, history, and computers, while continuing my own learning journey.I’m especially excited about Nepal’s mountains, culture, and food, and to get to know the community.

This July, Mary is turning 80 years old! Instead of a party or presents, she’s asking for something truly special, donations for the Shamrock 7. Mary is a retired teacher and has been a dedicated supporter of Shamrock Students Nepal since 2010. For years, she has advocated for the belief that every child deserves access to education, no matter where they’re born. Paddy is the main food crop and staple food of Nepalese people. Depending upon the type, paddy can grow up to the height of 3 to 4 feet. It is a tropical crop which requires an average of 28 degrees centigrade temperature and 150 cm of rainfall and is planted in July and harvested in November. Oak House School has 21 recent Secondary graduate students visiting the “Shamrock 9” in Nepal at Hill Point School. They arrived in Nepal on June 25th and returned to Barcelona on July 15th. While in Nepal the Oak House Students have interacted and participated in various activities with the “Shamrock 9” students. Some of the fun activities that they have participated in have been paddy planting, Nepali dances, futsal matches, and volunteering activities. The Shamrock 9 at Hill Point School recently celebrated World Environment Day by participating in a local cleanup of their community in Nepal. Students had a great time cleaning up garbage together while making a positive impact on the environment.
