Mary led the La Mercè Race on Sunday (September 21, 2025) with the goal of raising funds so the students of “Shamrock 7 Nepal” can continue their education.
A race run with spirit and optimism! Do you know where Mary gets her energy to run races and marathons? Yes, it comes from the seven children—Shamrock 7 Nepal—who want to finish high school and continue on a path of hope to move forward. Thanks again to all of you who have contributed with donations and to those who support Mary’s efforts in running for this great cause. Will Mary run the Barcelona Marathon on Sunday, March 15, 2026? Today, she met someone at the race who gave her ideas for running the marathon with a challenge to raise funds for those seven children. Ideas!!??
NEVER GIVE UP!! Mary also received positive energy today from a South African man with whom she ran almost the entire race. He’s on vacation with his family in Barcelona. He was motivated by watching Mary, at 80 years old, run for those seven children. The world is full of caring and kind people. THANK YOU all! We can’t do anything alone! 🥰
